Handstand training (Intermediate/ Advanced)

Looking to take your handstand practice to the next level?

This hand balancing class is tailored towards intermediate & advanced practitioners who already have a regular handstand practice and are looking to develop more advanced skills through refining technique, practicing new drills and pushing the limits of there strength.

Each class is 75 minutes and consists of a warm up, handstand drills & technique, and body weight strength training.

What kind of skills will i learn?

Since constancy is key in handstand training, there will be some drills that will carry out throughout most handstand classes. Every 4-6 weeks there will be a change in focus of which advanced skill (s) we are working towards.

Here are some of the skills to expect to learn to work towards:

-Optimizing straight line handstand

-Hollowback handstand variations

-Press handstand variations

-Exploring One Arm handstand

-Handstand push up

-Creative dynamic entries

-Flags

-Smooth transitions between shapes

-Transitions into & out of yoga poses

Prerequisites to join

-Hold a free balancing handstand in middle of room for 15 seconds consistently

-Hold a chest to wall handstand for 1 minute

-Comfortable entering handstand un assisted

-Comfortable falling out of handstand in middle of room

-Willingness to work hard & have an open mind
